SONIC BOARD MATCHUP DISCUSSION | SNAKE

Hey Guys,

Over in the Sonic Boards, we are beginning to discuss the matchup between Snake and Sonic. And we need your help. We realise matchup information can't be complete without both sides of the equation, and that's where you come.

http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=190510

As much as all contributions are welcomed, we would prefer it that if you were contributing then please ensure that you have played at least a competant Sonic mainer. In the same way we wouldn't base our match-up verdicts on bad Snake gameplay, we'd like it if you could base your ideas on experiences with good Sonic's.

What we need help on too are these three catergorys :

Behaviour:
How does a Snake behave in a match? Not match-up specific, just in general.

Commonly Used Moves:
Again, not match-up specific, but what moves are often used by Snake mains?

Recommended Stages:
What stages should Sonic take a Snake to to give himself an easier time? What would also be cool is suggesting stages NOT to take Snake on, stages that benefit Snake.

And to avoid confusions, here are some Sonic specific terms that may be thrown about that you may not know of :

Spinshot - Jumping out of a side B hop. Can also be done by flicking any direction that isn't down on the c-stick after using an aerial down B. Sonic travels just over half of Final Destinations distance at just under running speed in an arc though the air. No hitbox, but can be attacked out of.

ASC - Aerial Spin Charge. Down B in the air. Big combo potential, high priority.

If you're unsure on a term used in the boards then don't hesitate to ask what it means.
Thanks in advance.

Without your help the only info we may have on this matchup is contained in the following link: http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=4ND1KFyPFtw

Seriously though, head on over and tell us your thoughts on the matchup.

THE LINK AGAIN!

Edit out the Ness and replace with Snake, then we got ourselves a great thread!

I know you'll probably never run into a Sonic in tourney, but we'd like to at least get some opinions, lol.

It's depressingly lacking on the Snake side of things.

@sonicpeoplewhowerethinkingofthis: you'retoooslow!

Dangit Tenki, I was just about to revive this!

But yeah, any and all input is appreciated.
