3 questions regarding Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure DX, and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle...

1) What's your favorite out of the three?

2) Besides the minor graphic buff, what's the differences between the original Sonic Adventure and DX?

3) Is there Chao Shops in Sonic Adventure/and DX like there is in Battle 2 from the kindergarden?

:)

1: Sonic Adventure 2, without the battle (YES, IT WAS ON THE DREAM CAST ORIGINALLY)

2: DX really is much better than the original. DX has more unlockables, updated graphics, improved camera, it's pretty much superior in every way. And Big's levels are much less annoying (they're easier) in DX.

3: Not that I know of, but I was never a fan of the Chao thing anyway.

Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 are the original games, for Dreamcast.

Sonic Adventure DX and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle are remakes of the two for GameCube (probably more appropriately called ports with a few extra features).

1) Sonic Adventure 2: Battle is probably my favorite. I would PROBABLY name the original Sonic Adventure 2 if I owned it yet because I like originals the best (but I only have the original Adventure at the moment, but the basic gameplay is identical so it's not really important anyways.

2) DX has the Sonic Game Gear games as unlockables, has a Mission mode, has a few cameos of Cream the Rabbit, and if you get all of the emblems you can play as Metal Sonic.

3) Not that I'm aware of.

Howcome everybody prefers Sonic Adventure 2: Battle over DX? I guess it's mostly a matter of opinion, but I prefer DX; you get to walk around rather than going level > level > level, feels slightly faster (I dunno if it is, though), the levels are more interesting etc.

What was your first Sonic game? If you're like me and you played the originals first, then you'd probably had found that the adventure fields were very flow breaking.

Here's why SA2 was better than Sonic Adventure (in my book):

-No Big

-No Flow Breaking Adventure Fields

-They don't recycle levels (notice how many characters go through the same levels as other ones)

- Much better (and more mature) story

- Amy was hardly in it

- Expanded and improved upon Gamma's levels with the Tails/Robotnick (old habits, sorry) levels

- Treasure hunting was much more challenging

- Much more expansive and varied than SA (come on, the levels take you ever where from Egypt, a Haunted Mountain and even into Space!)

- Generally better thought out levels and design

That's just a few off the top of my head.

I agree with this. Sonic Adventure isn't a bad game, I rather like it in its own way, but especially with the recycled levels...you do a lot of the same stuff with different characters, and only with a few characters do the levels entirely change (most notably Big). Once you've played Sonic's story, you've pretty much covered everyone else's save for character-specific boss battles and a few gameplay changes.

Also, I think it's worth mentioning...

GET A LOAD OF THIS!!!

I enjoyed Sonic Adventure DX more than 2, as I enjoyed the Adventure fields, and I liked all characters levels really, except for some of Gamma's, and all of Big's except the first one.

However, Sonic Adventure 2 had the battle mode, which I really liked (and lol at how broken Metal Sonic was on grind levels). I also liked the Chao Garden more on that game, and even though I wasn't fond of the shooting and treasure hunting on that game, Sonic and Shadow had brilliant levels.

So yeah, Adventure 2 is my favourite, although it introduced grind rails .

I still remember some of the Knuckles the Echidna raps from SA2B to this day. I don't even know how.

"Lets take a dive
into the Aquatic mine.
First it's a coal pit,
but now it's a water rise."

LOL

Oh god, you made me remember these too  I just remember the couple lines that are like:

"My name's Knuckles...and unlike Sonic I don't chuckle."

I remember that being in a song and going WTF?

Ah Sonic...I remember the good days of Sonic Adventure / 2. The games before that were better but SA and SA2 were very good as well. I wish they could make them like they used to. I liked SA2 more than SA as well.

1) Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is my favorite since there's more stuff to do after you complete story mode.

2) Most have been said like more battle in battle mode on A2B, and Game Gear games on ADX. Also the Chao garden you can play on your GBA, Chao Karate is also an option on A2B, and the Chao Black Market is on the remake Sonic Adventure games.

3) I think I already answer that. ^_^;
