I have a math thread in the Pool Room, exactly for questions like this!

http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=113366

A good place to get answers for integral problems is Wolfram:

http://integrals.wolfram.com/index.jsp

Type your problem in there and you get an answer of

Cos[x] + 2*Log[Sin[x/2]]

Hopefully that will give you a push in the right direction. post in the math thread I linked to if you still need help finding that answer.

I really like that site, a lot. I managed to figure it out by myself before rechecking this thread (took me at least a good hour) although I got a different answer to what that site gives I know for sure that my answer is correct. Substituting values and comparing my graph to the graph of Cosx + 2Log(Sin(x/2)) tells me that this answer here is incorrect. Hmmmm... maybe the site isn't too accurate?

ok so i decided to give this a try (dunno if its right)

after letting u =1-cosx

you get cosx = 1-u

and du = sinx dx

then after the calculus

i get ln(1-cosx) -1 + cosx

thats not the same answer as the wolfram site, they might have used some kind of trigonometric idenity or something because i see the sin(x/2)
