Probably all has been asked before but i didn't found it.

Is there any fastest way to get out of Yoshi's egg.

Is there any fastest way to react after a shield breaker.

Is there any way to DI Luigi's firepunch and Jiggly's rest?

And, finally, best way to do short hop uair combos with Mario and Luigi (c buttons or joystick)

Thanks in advance

Jake is definitely dropping Yoshi
Short hop Uairs with mario and luigi are done the same way as with falcon, just the timing is different.

As for the other two... button mash / control-stick mash. If you broke a button, then you're doing it too well. At least that's what I think is the best way. CPU's only use A button when escaping... but when do we do what CPU's do?

1. What do you mean get out? Look at the trajectory of the egg, if its sent at you, just DI down and the opposite direction. If it is sent at you but curved, DI down and directionally. If you mean to make it come out quicker, edge cancel it.
2. Button mash
3. DI Straight Down and a little bit to one direction. For Rest, DI down and diagonal (whatever way opposite of where your hit
4. don't know, probably C-stick

Both when being egged or shield broken every button or stick input reduces the time you're stuck, so basically you have to spam as much and as fast as possible on anything and everything.

You can DI atleast rest like normal, and I think the firepunch aswell, but it more often then not won't help.

I don't play mario or luigi very much but I usually use the c buttons. You might want to throw in a short hopped uair at some point, and that's hard to do with the stick.

The way I do it is the lower part of my thumb is over the A button (same on GC controller for Melee, just replace A button with c-stick) and I use the end of my thumb to press c-buttons and B button, and the bend in my thumb is where I press the A button. This makes anything after a jump nice and fast, and I don't have to move my hands much. It's efficient.

If you're pressing everything with the tip of your thumb, you're wasting precious milliseconds and energy! :p

I knew the button mashing thing. I asked if there was a special button combination to make you get out of the egg recovery after a shield breaker. I say it because some players i played against, when i do the egg on them, they recover wtfhax fast.

I think antd said somewhere a while back that the fastest button combo for getting out of egg/shieldbreak/dk grab is Up+A and down +B alternated every frame.

thx for the answers
I find it hard to do uair combos using the c-buttons, as i'm used to do them with the stick with falcon.
