For those of you who don't know what QACing (Quick-Attack-Cancel) is, please use the search.

I noticed that Pikachu's jump+neutral A is MUCH more effective than the down A for QACking. When you use jump+neutral A, you don't have to worry about after lag, because you can defend/attack again right away. With the down A, if the opponent has shielded then there can be problems. It is a bit more difficult than down A, because timing the jump+neutral A at the right time takes practice, but is much more rewarding. The only problem is that you can't use this QAC if you QAC straight to the right/left (you can with down A though), you have to QAC into the ground with a downward or diagonal movement.

You can say anything is obvious. I never noticed how much more effective neutral A could be with QAC instead of down A. It's just a notice that if anyone is in the habit of down A, they should get out of it and use neutral A instead.

Both of them are situational (as are the rest). You have to learn when to do each one. Just get into the habit of trying different areiels and taking mental notes when something works or doesnt work.
