Some hit box questions

I just rewatched Isai (Jiggly) vs. Tatuman (Link) and saw that at some point in the video, Isai was able to combo link about 3-4 times using just uair, so I turned on my emulator and try it out because I never knew you were able to do that. Well when I do it the opponent flies away. What gives?

This reminds me of the fox uair combo, where the move hits but does not send the opponent flying. How do I do this?

Also when I am trying to wall chain someone, should I be grabbing the person before I see the ground hit animation?

for the puff up-airs, it's the japanese version, which is completely different to the american version. I've played the japanese version on an emulator, and you can actually link 6-7 up-airs. Combos in the two versions are completely different, so what you see in the Japanese version may or may not be doable in the American version.

Ooo, I see, never knew that. How about DK's platform uair? And also, for say jiggly and kirby (I know it works for yoshi) when breaking a shield, I think you are supposed to be able to break a shield with chaining two drills. What is the process for this? My opponents seem to always break away from the shield when I try this. I am thinking that it is because of my lack of timing of canceling and jumping for another spike.

So, blue yoshi.... when are we playing again? We should do that all jiggly match again where we can only sing and rest.

lol I think I remember that. It was a 4 man ffa, and in the end, it was me vs someone else, both on our last stock. I won because he missed a rest and I pushed him off the ledge lol.

Sure we can do it again. I play the gave pretty competitively, but will always give in to the random and strange matches. Definitely helps me remember that smash is a game, and not a life-or-death situation... not that I have done anything extreme when I lost the money match last week... :p just joking :)

most people who will face a shield breaker will instead take a hit to prevent it.

An example is kirby's down air to up tilt combo. you can combo a short hop down air into an up tilt for shield breaker.

Jigglypuff is similar. Short hop down air to up tilt or something similar.

Neither of these will work if someone decides to take the hit instead of shielding unless it is kirby by a corner.

Kirby's down air to down air is the same thing

Jigglypuff's shouldn't work unless someone DI's into it

Shield breaker combos are still really good to know for the few times you do encounter the opportunity to do them. As rare as it actually is, it does happen, and knowing how to do them can change the outcome of the match.

But then again, like regular combos, different shield breaker starters may not make the specific combo work, so learn your options and you'll be good to go.
