9 days left till fighter five is revealed!

with days left it’s time to look back on the second reveal trailer for smash.

And this one was quite literally the biggest reveal! Ridley is probably still the hypest reveal for me. He was one of my most wanted and even though his trailer made it obvious who it was, it was still amazing. Still one of my favorite characters to play this game.

Ridley in Smash was such an awesome moment.

I was seriously saddened back then about the abscense of Prime 4 at E3 and the fact we were getting Other M Samus in Smash again instead of Samus Returns Samus.

It seemed that Metroid fans such as myself would have a bad conference... But then Sakurai dropped Ridley and blessed the day for all of us.


Ridley became one of my mains (his Meta Ridley alt specifically) and as of today I see him as the start of the new golden age for the Metroid series regarding Smash content (followed by the stage we got and Dark Samus).

It is great to be a Metroid fan at last.

So like, we ran out of gas, so our furnace isn't working, and because of that, I have icicles coming out of me nose and I could use them as chopsticks at this point.

I lost my **** (internally tho, didn't wanna wake the neighbors) the moment I saw that Metroid-esque hallway in his trailer. Still can't ******* believe that he actually happened.

You better believe I'm rocking the Super Metroid box art Ridley, too.

Probably what I'll end up doing is finishing all the story content and then saving some of the side stuff for another time.

I'll probably consider dropping Harder Monsters too if I hit too big of a wall, but that hasn't happened yet so I doubt I'll need to.

That colour pallette was just such a wonderful detail to include, alongside the Grey Meta Ridley referencing his robot copy from Zero Mission.

And then, one year later... The one out of my most wanted who I considered a never-ever finally got into Smash against all odds.

Smash Ultimate is for me the perfect crossover.

As starting points I really suggest you to start with Zero Mission, Samus Returns on 3DS, Super Metroid and Fusion in that order if you want to learn the plot.

Then from that point onwards everything else is fine to play in any order you want.

Just don't play NEStroid. It is seriously dated.

While we’re on the topic of Ridley:

meh, not that big of a fan. Easily the weakest of the reveals to me.
Now Inkling, on the other hand.... :p That is how you announce a new game, Nintendo Style.

Eh. Not that big on FPS's because they disorient me, but I'll keep that in mind, especially with Metroid Prime 4 existing.

Y’know, why have they added nothing since the SNES games? It is odd especially since a fair chunk of easy to add games are Nintendo’s own.

Yeah, I have a few more characters that I'd love to see join the roster someday, but I can't deny that what we currently have is amazing.

Don't know if it was already shared, but IGN posted a pretty nice video that show most of the new content in the next SMM2 update, I recommend to check out if you haven't to see the possibilities that some of those new tools offer.

Because holy **** had I not known it was coming when they showed the first trailer...

My personal suggestion if you have a Wii U and a Switch port doesn't happen is to pick the Virtual Console version of Prime Trilogy.

As of now, it is the definive way to play the games officially.
