Yeah I know what you said, I'm just ****ing with you.
"Donkey Kong and Bowser huddle for warmth."Good morning, Smashboards.
So... will you make a game or simply brainstorm ideas? If it's the latter. I'm more interested. No, I don't mean a fangame or an small indie project, I mean like a big, grandious game similar to Smash.
Also, what do you mean? If you're referring to knockback, that wasn't what I had in mind either.
I'm pretty sure there is one on steam that was at PAX East or something like that. No, I don't mean a fangame or an small indie project, I mean like a big, grandious game similar to Smash.

Either or .Let's have a hypothetical matchup discussion.
All four have the same physics and attack properties as they did in their original games. This means Fox can wavedash/L-cancel, Pikachu has insane hitstun, Meta Knight can DACUS/plank, Diddy has an unstoppable shield, etc.
Who would win out of the four?
Meta Knight. MK could probably break through Diddy's shield, Pikachu's moveset is lacking, and Fox?Let's have a hypothetical matchup discussion.

Well don't that beat all.
Well, I mean, I'm kind of a loser atm, so I'm just brainstorming and drawing for now.So... will you make a game or simply brainstorm ideas? If it's the latter. I'm more interested.
Loser? Designing characters and coming up with new ideas is not exactly an easy task.Well, I mean, I'm kind of a loser atm, so I'm just brainstorming and drawing for now.
Well, the reason I want to make this game is because I have so much inspiration from the way Smash Bros.'s characters and movesets are designed, and I wanted to use that creativity for something productive.Loser? Designing characters and coming up with new ideas is not exactly an easy task.
As longas this is the anime/manga one, include Gon.Well, the reason I want to make this game is because I have so much inspiration from the way Smash Bros.'s characters and movesets are designed, and I wanted to use that creativity for something productive.
The general idea is that the game has the same controls as Smash (mostly) but has HP instead of launch rate, and multiple health bars instead of stocks. Similar to Smash, when you die, you "explode" and respawn at a random spawn point on the stage.
As you play you charge a special meter (very original, I know) that has three levels of special attacks activated with the special attack button.
In this game, items are more integrated into the combat (instead of being chaotic game-breakers like in Smash) that come out of crates that spawn from one of four set spawn points throughout the stage.
No, this is supposed to feature my own original characters, five of which I have already created. As longas this is the anime/manga one, include Gon.
Probs MK or Fax.Let's have a hypothetical matchup discussion.

The Shulk one is just as good. Youw Whill Knoww Hours Nahmes sounds great with the slow-mo zoom in.Fiyah Embwam.
I do always wonder about the slipping in Brawl. Did people really feel so strongly about it that they refused to play it? Sure it was a weird thing to include, but I honestly didn't mind it. If there would've been an option to turn it off, would it have been more popular? Or even if the most recent Smash games had an option to turn it on, would people have used it? In fact, no I don't think there's any need to answer that one.I found an old melee disc that I lost before. I don't know if the disc will work, but it's worth a shot. I'm also trying to get Smash 64, but the price is pretty high for nothing. And I'm still waiting for Project M to be release in a PAL version.
Luggy wants to test every Smash again. Except Brawl.

Don't want to end like this guy.
Imagine this : I'm adding tripping in the new Street Fighter. It's totally random. Now let's put ourselves in a tourney. It's intense, you're near the victory, and suddenly, your Ryu trips and dies like an idiot because the game decided to.I do always wonder about the slipping in Brawl. I thought PM has a PAL Version out already.Project M to be released in a PAL version.
Brawl's random tripping is quite possibly one of the worst mechanics to be introduced into any fighting game ever made. Those Gem shenanigans in SFXTK are close though.Imagine this : I'm adding tripping in the new Street Fighter. It's totally random. Now let's put ourselves in a tourney. Tripping in fighting games is dumb, that's why nobody implanted this in any fighting game. Except Sakurai.
It's dumb in general, it doesn't help anybody, casuals and competitive players alike. It's a dumb mechanic that was removed for a good reason. Now, you trip when you get hit by certain attacks, not randomly.
In short : tripping was dumb to begin with, that's why it will never be liked by anybody.

Why are you asking this anyway ?
Throw in Guilty Gear Isuka's turn mechanic too. It's like the only fighting game where you have to turn using a button, the R1 button on the Playstation 2 controller specifically, unlike others which is either automatic or you can manually turn using the control stick. Yes, it's as impractical as it sounds.Brawl's random tripping is quite possibly one of the worst mechanics to be introduced into any fighting game ever made. Now that's what I call "Cutting Edge Moves"
chirp chirp chirpNow that's what I call "Cutting Edge Moves"
Well I don't really play competitively, so I wasn't thinking that deeply. Though has that ever happened? I've not seen a tournameant vid where someone loses due to random tripping. The only time I ever notice it is when I'm playing a long match for a laugh, but more often than not it doesn't happen at all. And even when it does it cancels it out as it isn't limited to one person. It's dumb, but it doesn't break the game. And it definitely doesn't stop it being fun.Imagine this : I'm adding tripping in the new Street Fighter. It's totally random. Now let's put ourselves in a tourney. That sounds pretty awful. Though I can't say I'm extremely familiar with Guilty Gear to know at first hand.Throw in Guilty Gear Isuka's turn mechanic too. Maybe you haven't expanded your viewpoint. I think that's entirely your problem, River.IDK about you but if a giant ape came crashing through a wall when I'm trying to play a Video Game
I would beat the **** out of the ape for scaring me like that
