Mario is a surnatural being who can jump really high, grow stronger by eating mushrooms and is overall a knight for the Mushroom Kingdom with his bro' Luigi.
Jumpman is one guy who needed to save his girlfriend from a giant monkey, who died after facing the son of the same ape he captured. Also dies when jumping from a thing higher than his little bed.

That's about it I think.

I saw on it's Tropes page something about a gag Expand Dong in the manga, so I'm reluctant.

And horror isn't quite my thing. I can read the episode descriptions if it's on Netflix, though.
I always used to do that with nearly everything.
