I still had Power Saving mode so that might have caused some lag.

Amen.

Power Saving mode causes lag because it doesn't let the 3DS use its maximum potential when connected to the Internet, so that's why. It still works but I'd take it out when doing matches.
I'm surprised I'm decent with Yoshi lol
