Probably for not getting caught by Nintendo. Remember the leak of the entire roster ? There was gameplay of it that were cut by Nintendo on Youtube. They can't show it directly or else, if they work at Nintendo (no dad jokes, plz), they'll be fired.

If this leak is real, we could assume that Rayman was added late in developpement, probably due to Ubisoft having trouble contacting Nintendo thanks to their great "attitude towards the Wii U". This would also give a reason for the two other trophies from the Rayman franchise to appear as a trophy, meaning that Rayman could indeed be in.

Long story short : the possibility that this leak is real is high.

Interesting. Also, Rayman is the only Ubisoft character many Nintendo fans seem to like not only in Smash Bros., but in general.

It looks convincing enough, but it looks different from most of the other so called "leaked" images of the past. A few examples:

If you are referring to the original PlayStation console released in 1994, and if the game had 3D models, yes, it's Rayman 2. If it was in 2D, then it was Rayman 1.

I dunno, a font mistake and the like is pretty common in games.
Fallout new vegas had DLC which had new perks and such added and the vault boy icons were of different brightness from super obvious to not really obvious levels and they turned out legit (and still mismatched).
