Southern California Super Smash Bros. Melee Players!!! Jace Hall (founder of Monolith, former Sr. VP of Warner Bros. Interactive) and 1337LoungeLive (a twitch.tv sponsored live streaming game lounge that features celebrity guests, new release showcases, an FGC Live program, Multiplayer Mondays, and much more) are hosting one day Super Smash Bros. Melee Tournament on SATURDAY AUGUST 10th at 7pm PST. We're located in North Hollywood, CA.

It's a *unique* Tourney in that it's intimate, capped to 8-12 players, and live-streaming on the front page of Twitch. Players get free beverages all night long form our "Ultimate Drink Fridge." As mentioned, the tournament is in North Hollywood and starts PROMPTLY at 7PM PST but the 1337Lounge doors open at 5PM if you'd like to come early and play some SSBB! We play on the ULTIMATE GAME MACHINE, which has every game ever made in ever console ever.
Past tournaments have been SSFIV, MvC3, MK, Injustice, etc. We have had guests like Mike Ross, Alex Valle, EGP Krayzie, Killer Kai, Tyrant, and more. We have yet to tap into the SSB scene. THIS is our and your opportunity to show twitch that the Smash community is ALIVE AND WELL!

Rules:
Game version: US Nintendo Gamecube
Game Settings: 4 Stock, 8 Minute Time Limit, 2/3 Games
Items are not allowed in tournament play.
Stages allowed: Yoshi’s Story, Fountain of Dreams, Final Destination, Battlefield, Dream Land.
Stages for counter-picking: Pokemon Stadium.
Wobbling is legal.
Pause option is disabled in the game menu.
A different stage must be used in each game of a set.
All games will be played on the default settings, unless otherwise specified, below.
All macros available via the in-game controller configuration menu are allowed.
Hardware programmable input entry, rapid-fire, or other hardware-assisted mechanisms are strictly forbidden.
Accidently pausing the game at any time during the fight may force you to forfeit the round (solely at a judge’s discretion).
Any player using “Random Select” to pick their character, must “Random Select” again if they win the match, provided that there is no way to pick a certain character in the random box
