So what can I do for you to help bring this board to life?

OK, I love Luigi, and I want him to do well. On top of that, I'm a big nerd, and I like statistics, data, compiling, etc. I've noticed a stagnation on the Luigi board, though it seems to pick up periodically.
I've tried a few different ways to do what I can to bring some conversation in. The most successful of these being my Luigi habits thread. I'll update that within the next few days, because I finally have my power back, and I have a couple ideas.


What I'd like to do is offer some of my free time to help improve this board. I can't really offer a whole lot of expertise, since I'm a "good" Luigi at best. I typically place around 5th in my local 20ish man tourny. So I'm looking to take a few suggestions. What kind of ***** work does this forum need and how can I help to do it?

Do we need some sort of comprehensive stat thread? Do we need a new video thread? I'm willing to do a bit of time wasting to make this forum more useful, provided I know how to do it, or are given adequate instruction.

I'd like to set up a SIMPLE Luigi-Only Short Ladder in WiFi in this forum, but I don't know if I could keep track of too much stats by myself with my job and school and wife (hence, why it would be SIMPLE). And I'd probably need to bounce around some ideas first too.

What we need can't be done by one person. I believe the best way to expand the metagame is too cover every aspect of gameplay in depth, as others do. I did a guide on buffering applications, locuan did one on the fireball game, Spark did a thread match up and so on. But where are those threads? Threatened to be deleted from inactivity. The point is, the best way you can help out is to actively post and contribute to the boards, asking and answering questions. Don't bother with in depth guides, because apparently that loses its novelty quickly. Expand on what is known about Luigi, and maybe contribute various methods of approach and move mechanics in the form of comments to a paticular thread. This forum is not suffering from the lack of research so much as it is lacking in participation.

i think a little luigi torunie would be fun. if we keep most of teh matches under 3 min. we can also have it all put up into a thread of the tournement. luigis woot woot. unfortunatly lag may be an issue...

but yeha i think we should just keep doing what were doing. if i get lesss lazy my next combo video should provide a little boost for activity.

I had that same idea a while ago but no one was really into that. I still say let's do it! It would make us more familiar with each other and our gameplay.

That and editing software, unless you plan to upload raw film (which isn't too appealing).

Lol, either that wasn't me or you misread it

Anyway, I'll be updating my habits thread here in the next bit, and I'll try to be as insightful as I can, everywhere I can.

I may not have the best smash skills, but I'd put my ability to interpret and analyze up against just about anyone on these boards. And come to think of it, most of the internet. (thats where I'm cocky )
