So...just picked up a copy of Mario Kart 8 yesterday...and, uh ya...that "highlight reel"...hmm...

KOMPELLING STORYLINE...

...A TRUE STRUGGLE WITH ONE'S OWN HUMANITY...

...and the eventual realization and acceptance of the inevitable fact that, well, we dont all live forever, so we might as well dance in the sun while its warm...

But, although Mario Kart may deliver when it comes to those aspects of media, I found myself in quite a pickle after i had finished my first race...

...It gave me the option to view a "highlight reel". Well, duh! Of course i would love to view my replay!

...wait...whats this! Options to slow down or speed up the footage? And where are all of these camera angles coming from!?!?!? For, I SAW NO CAMERAS DURING THE RACE!!!!

And then, sitting there in my own blood **** and/or piss, shaking...trembling...the replay ended...

..................."would you like to share this highlight reel online via Google Plus?".............

...Am I seeing things? Is this a dream? A delusion of sorts?!? a HOAX perhaps???

Nintendo, using Google, another company not involved in gaming at all, to allow the sharing of, not just replays, but EDITED HIGHLIGHT reels? With cuts, cinematic camera angles, Eddie VanHalen-inspired guitar solos (but not lame Sonic ones), and even slow-****ing-motion?

J. Christ Nintendo, 'tis but a mere racing game, and i mean Google raplay sharing? seriously?

...What im saying, and might i ad, saying through an eloquently devised and equally humorous mini-article for all of your reading pleasure, WHERE THE **** IS THIS CONVENIENT REPLAY **** IN SMASH BROS?????

I mean, cmon m80s, of ALL games...really...I hate having to sit there and watch 3 minutes of nothing until I finally get to the split-second point where i spike the 790% recovering Lucario into hades with Little Mac's down-air.

...Wait, I blinked i have to watch it again now, but i dont have 3 minutes, so i guess ill have to watch it tommorow......wait whats this? O cool the new patch!!! Boy! I sure am glad Nintendo had the courtesy to tell us all about the whole, sending every single one of our old replays into unreachable oblivion every patch!

And WOW! They were even so kind as to even leave all of the old replays' thumbnails there with big red X's covering them!

...wtf hahaha. If this is in the wrong place, could the person reviewing this move it as opposed to deleting it? I didn't intend for it to sound..."complainy", or opinionated...my threads often get out of hand...but you guys wouldnt know that cuz im kinda new here haha...

Whoah, calm down. It's coming next month for Smash from what I've heard.

I don't really think this belongs here but I'm not exactly sure where to move it because I'm not positive where you're coming from. If your focus is just that Mario Kart 8 is doing replays right, there's the Mario Kart thread. But if -- as I'm taking it -- this is more of a criticism of how Smash 4 handles replays, I'd take it to the Smash Wii U / 3DS General Discussion forum.
