I will. I'm going to be playing ALL day tomorrow (From when I get home to school to 4 AM), then go to the tournament at 12, sign up is at 1, play some friendlies, then start the tournament at 4.

Hmm, that’s really a bad idea.

When you go to a tournament you should always eat a good healthy meal the day before and get plenty of sleep.

In fact sleeping is more important then actually practice the day before.

As you will be able to think more clearly and respond accordantly to strategies and the ranging skilled level of your opponents.

Well, that was kind of a stretch. But I will be playing for the majority of the day.

And I do hope I get a decent placing. I heard there's going to be a couple of Pros there, I hope I don't get matched with any of them for the first round...

Well I'm going to try and get down the Dash Cancel tech. I can do it, but not consistently. And yes, I'm not doing doubles. 1 v 1.

Alright, so does anyone have any good approaching methods I can use? I was thinking about a Dash into Shield Grab.

Max...This sounds like your first tournament and if what you said is true about good players coming then odds are your going to run into some of the best players on the east coast (The Maryland area got a lot of great players).

If this is the case then don't be surprise if you lose even in the first round because a lot of the times the “best” have crews who are also very skilled.

Oh, and money match the winner for a 1$ or something if you have the cash to spare. Most high level players will never turn down a money match and while in some ways you are paying them to fight you it's a great measuring tool to see how much you need to improve to reach their level. It’s just a good thing to do at your first tournament especially because afterwards you can say **** like “I fought Ken, he’s really good” that and for the memories.

In my first tourney I got to fight Azen after he won. Which was cool because he was nice enough to not ask for a money match…unlike Chu Dat( I ask to play him before the tournament).

Yes, this is my first tournament. And yes, I have heard that Azen is coming. But this was awhile ago, I don't know if he still is.

Good opportunity there, ask Azen for a Sheik ditto.

...maybe he has played as Sheik a bunch, maybe not, but you'll most definitely learn something from the fight such as spacing and what moves a higher level player focuses on and what tricks they have up their sleeves.

I learned a lot by playing some Sheik Ditto's with KDJ and then watching him in a bunch of his tournaments. You'd be surprised how much you can learn just by watching someone beat you r *ss :-p

Ah, so today's the day. I just played a couple of online rounds. I'm now working on Dash-Canceling. I'm not going to worry about trying to use it coming from the left, if I use it during a match, I'll make sure their to the right of me before KO'ing them.

Okay, you guys are going to be disappointed in me. (This is MaxDeUh). I used Lucario in the tourney. I won my first match, then lost my second, then lost the third. But I still had a blast, the singles didn't even start until 5, so we were practicing and playing with a whole bunch of people for hours.

A bunch of pros were there. Azen and Chu won doubles, and Azen won singles. I got to do a Lucario ditto match with him once it was over.
