What I saw was something I thought would never happen again remember when Wavedashing became a phenomenal discovery that even most casual smashers knew about it. Well I saw a SSBB tutorial on the Nintendo Channel and the person who did the teaching was David Sirlin!!! Now David Sirlin is one really known hardcore competitive fighting gamer he is mostly known around from his wonderful blog article "Playing to Win".

Now if your thinking he spoke about things like Boost-Smashing or Glide Tossing well... he didn't. He talked about the basics but before you groan and moan thinking how I just wasted your time keep listening. Now everyone on this site KNOWS the basics (hopefully....) but the way he explained was so in-depth it made you think you were having a flashback about when you first started to get into smash competitively.

He talked about some things that surprised me a little:

Reverse Aerial Rush (RAR)
Chaingrabbing with King Dedede a little (He used D3 in purple wooooo!!!)

SHFF (Short Hop FastFall) He didn't use the term but he basically explained it.
The frames of certain movements.
Regular DI (I think he described it wrong.) and Smash DI.

Move Decay (He said it takes 10 moves for a attack to be refreshed I thought it was 9...)

and Hugging.

There are 9 episodes so far I could only watch 1,2,3,4,5,6,and 9 you can probably find the other two on youtube.

Anyways the whole reason I liked this was:

It was directed to casual smashers which could lead them to competitive smash.

He explained every section in a very detailed way.

It was made by Sirlin. XD

But yeah I think this is the PERFECT tutorial video to get casual smashers into the competitive scene. All you have to do is tell them the site to find the way to get into competitive smash fully.

Hopefully everyone likes this and actually reads this.

-Powa!

(I did that because it felt cool. XD)

These video's have been out for a while now- and you are correct, they are a great way to teach new players, especially more visual learners, the basics and AT's of SSBB.

The final episode has been released (at least in the UK) which is episode 10, featuring the first round of the item tournament (can't remember its name) between CPU's R.O.B and Ken's Mart.
