Alright. I was in my math class, and i went to the teacher in the last 10 minutes of class while we waited for the bell. This may not seem to be melee related, but it gets better. I looked down when she (my teacher) was talking to another student. I saw a small disc under some cords. I picked it up, thinking it was some disc she may need. I flip it and wipe off the dust to see it is SUPER SMASH BROS MELEE!

I haven't played it in years, so naturally i shouted in joy. (leading to awkward moment when i made up some lie about why i shouted)

I have it in my Wii now, i can't do anything now because i have no wiimote batteries or a GC controller. The disc is scratched a good bit, but i did the old tooth paste thing and now there appear to be less. Any tips for getting back into melee?

Also if it doesn't work, any advice to help scratches. (Most are pretty light)

I'd start with batteries, and a traditional GCN controller, one made by Nintendo. The 3rd party controllers are known to be butt sauce.

I would feel so bad if someone stole my Melee disc. :(

But it depends on the situation surely. If it was dusty and obviously forsaken, you did a good job giving it a new home.

It was under my teacher's desk covered with cords. It had a nice layer of dust over it as well

Sup man, I'm a guy who played SSBM as a child and tried playing it again a couple of years ago. Found out about smashboards and the players etc. when I searched google. Taught myself the SHFFL, wavedashing and I'm still playing. Haven't really been active on the forums but I've been following bigger tournaments. Thought the link was a troll lol, I'll register immediately
