So am i still an idiot for believing this 35 man roster all along?

I remember awhile ago me and Shortfuse specifically argues that logically this roster made sense and lined up perfectly, and both agreed that we believed this would be the final roster (along with a few other posters sorry if i can't remember your names im pretty new).

And for saying what i thought was true i got called names like an "idiot/moron" for believing something with no solid evidence... now in no way am i here to rub it in to the old non believers but i want to make a good point.

Look how silly it was how hostile people were at each other for something as stupid as a character roster. After awhile, it was kind of sad to see people constantly flame each other left and right for having an opinion of a valid leak.

I hope now that this roster is leaked we can all settle down and enjoy the game with each other and stop all this bashing (I know it won't because the roster haters will get mad at the roster lovers and vice versa).

I would also extend my apologies to anyone before the roster came to be if it seemed like i made some rude comments (I don't ever think i called anyone names but i may have made some rude remark/hostile posts).

So can we have some fun now and enjoy this masterpeice we will recieve in about 50 days?

I'll admit it. At the time I didn't believe the 35-character theory, and I really wanted everyone who believed it to stop going on about it. I didn't call anyone an idiot for it (I think), but I was probably thinking it. This was probably partially out of getting sick of all the "leaks" and theories that were flooding the boards and the trolls who created them, and partially because I didn't want it to be true. Now it has (more or less) been proven correct. Although I still think it is good to not throw all of your weight behind a theory unless you have solid evidence that it's true, I admit that I didn't pay this one enough attention and, at least in my head, I was disrespectful to the people who believed it.

Regardless of whether you think your an idiot or not, you (and so many others) may have been right. Right isn't always good, but, ya know. I'm actually ok with 35 characters only because all 3/5 of the characters I wanted (Lucario, R.O.B., that's right, R.O.B., and maybe Wolf) are/maybe in. (The other 2 were Krystal and Isaac, though Isacc was merely a pipe dream I went along with.)

You're still an idiot, but now Sakurai and Nintendo are idiots as well for hyping something so pathetic. It's not good from a business standpoint to overhype something, and they clearly did.

They shouldn't have wasted so much effort on ******** stuff like the Coin Launcher to include a DECENT number of characters.

35 is not decent. it's only 10 more than Melee, while Brawl has had TRIPLE the development time. What have they been doing all that time? eating out of their noses? Besides, most fighting games these days have more characters than this, even though the overall nostalgia is the driving force of the Smash Series, and characters are key.

Nintendo = EPIC FAIL

Anyway... even though it's looking very much like it, the 35 character roster isn't completely confirmed yet. We're still missing Wolf.

What if.....

What if the guys that leaked the roster with ROB on it only completed SSE, and not the rest?
They would have 35 characters and think they have them all.

But Sakurai stated that roughly 65% of the characters would be unlocked through SSE.

Now add it up. 35 characters x 1.35 = 47.25 Which is remarkably close to the 48 character rumor.

And think for a minute, Ganondorf, Falco, Lucario, Ness, Jigglypuff, Luigi, Marth... many people could've guessed those. The only thing holding the 35 character roster together is ROB..... but ehm, wait... he isn't even ROB, cause ROB got wheels..... this guy is just "ROBOT".

I'm not totally convinced yet, but if no new characters are found, all I can say is that I have lost faith in Nintendo and will probably stop buying their consoles in the future. Not acting like a spoiled brat for not getting the characters I wanted, cause I really didn't have any favorites to cheer for... I'm just saying from a business viewpoint it's a really poor job.

Really though, the roster could have easily been better then that. I'll get over it eventually, but right now it is disappointing. Toon Link and ROB will forever be considered just punching bags for me.

Irregardless is just a non-standard way of saying regardless. There's nothing wrong with it, just because he said regardless in a non-conventional manner, it doesn't make him an idiot.

If you want to mark him down on his English, you should look at yourself first. At least he used a proper - albeit unusual - word in the right context, whereas you have made a mistake which is just as bad, if not worse I'm not normally one to grammar*** about things either.

Also, OP. There was no need in making this thread if you didn't mean to rub it in.
