I've been around a few threads, and some saying how it's very bad for Europeans and all, but isn't it bad for Aussies too? Shouldn't we be recieving sympathy aswell?

I said somewhere a while ago about this in just a post and I was told to Import it.

If that was the case, wouldn't that mean Europeans could import it too? Or was this person just an idiot?

Anyways. . . are Aussies being screwed over with the release date or what? Because if they are I want us to get sympathy too.

Please noone talk about buying a NTSC Wii or Modding, etc.

Well none of you guys complained or whined from what I have seen and read.. I guess the Europeans like to complain and whine..

I mean I feel for you guys, even though I'm not as hyped as most of you. I got pissed when it was delayed.. So with that longer wait ><

Yeah. The fact that we don't even have a release date yet is really bugging me.

Hopefully one of the PAL regions gets it soon after the US release.

If you had to wait an extra few months while the rest of the internet already played the darn game and running around with spoilers and how awesome the game was you'd whine too.

I live in Europe, but fortunately I have a mailing address in the U.S. so it's not a problem with me.

(I wonder if I could make money off of that by selling video games to Europeans. XD)

It can go either way. Sometimes Europe get games before Australia, and sometimes Australia get games before Europe. Although in my experience, when Australia do get them first, it's usually long before Europe does. I remember buying Aussie versions of Zelda: Oracle of Ages/Seasons and not seeing them officially released in the UK until about six months later. Same goes for Pokemon Stadium 2.

With Handheld games, they just repackage the US versions of the game and give them us the majority of the time. We don't even get the 'proper' English spellings you guys sometimes get.

Still, Stadium 2 is an oddity - I think it's mainly to do with the previous point about the Handheld games.

So basically, whenever we get a game first it's because they're plonking the US version on us.

Ah right.

Even we don't get the spelling corrections as often as we should. Considering how long they take to bring the games here, it isn't exactly asking much to add some extra "u"s here and there, and generally tidy-up some of the American slang and terminology which sounds weird in our regions.

Just like the Americans started complaining and whining when the delay was revealed...

Aussies & Europeans both get screwed simply because we don't live in the US.

EDIT: I'm going Sydney this summer, so I won't get it until I come back to the UK lol.

I'd say the Australian date will be later that the European one, when they're finally unveiled.

But, you could always import a UK version of the game, because it would work on your Wii.

Yes, i am pissed about the lack of release date, but i'm not going to complain about it, because that helps nothing.

You have to either install a modchip in your Wii (Legal in Australia, but don't be surprised if a Nintendo System Update via Internet or on a game bricks it) or get a Japanese Wii.

I went for the latter.

To OP: You're asking for sympathy? Are you really asking all of the members for sympathy? So all of us should give you a shoulder to cry on and be a psychiatrist for you?
It sucks for you guys, that's for sure, but to ASK people to SHOW SYMPATHY, that's just plain dumb...
Imagine you standing in the mall, you have a few personal problems and you start to cry, would you walk up to everyone and ask for their sympathy and understanding?

I think it's more akin to waiting in line for icecream, but the icecream man always spits on the Euro guy's icecream.

I don't care if we get brawl late compared to everyone else. In fact I can't wait to play it.
