You need your back directly to the ledge, and you need to land your rapid jab. The best time to use this is likely after dodging an opponent's attack by rolling towards the ledge.

No because
A. it doesn't exactly tell you what it is and
B. it would not be able to be abbreviated as FRAC.

the technique requires you to fall off the ledge rapid attacking to cancel it into your other moves.
A. you are cancelling the jab via the ledge. falling rapid attack sounds as if you are able to jab in midair.

it should follow the convention of (x action) cancelled (y action)
Example: jump cancelled throw. you are cancelling a jump to do a throw.

or (x mechanic) cancelled (y action)
Example: platform cancelled aerial. you are using a platform to cancel your aerial.

Ledge (mechanic) cancelled jab (action).

FRAC sounds as if you are cancelling a "falling rapid attack". there are no such thing as "falling rapid attacks" in smash, so cancelling one sounds dumb.
