So, is Snake better or is it only, because the Snakes use Falco as counter?
(falco is the perfect counter for mk)

Snake players indeed are a difficult match-up for MK, however, if you play smart, basically , hitting and running, dodging projectiles, most importantly not going all out on your attacks. Plan every-move you are going to make. Take it slow, for example, start F-Tilting , D-tilting, back away.., F-dash.. kick.. back away.. do not try to combo him as fast as you can. Eventually if everything is done correctly, pretty soon as you'll have him 80% + , finally to finish him off, try to block one of his attacks and counter him with D-Smash..

Playing smart is your only chance.

I don't understand the topic or the question here...is it, "which is better, snake or falco to use against MK?" or "how do you fight snake with MK?" or "how do you fight falco with MK?" or "is it possible to figure out what I'm accually asking in this thread?"

Playing smart is your only chance.
Playing smart is your only chance no matter who you're playing against.

Snake is easily my toughest matchup as well. What do you guys use more when you are playing Snake..

F tilt or D smash?

I feel as if i can hardly ever approach Snake due to his tilts. If I am shielded upon approaching him at all....im going to be eating a tilt somehow.

U tilt absolutely eats Meta alive so that X's out approaching him from up above

F tilt ***** meta too so approaching with shff's (not shffls haha) is out of the question. I find that using the tornado in this match along with throws and f tilts is probably the best way to have him lower his defenses to give you a chance to take him to the sky.

I need help with this matchup...anyone have ideas? suggestions?

Its tough. Unfortunately my mains are fox, mk, and luigi, and they all suck against snake.
I have some success with tornado attacks. Also, use his gliding attack. There is no lag after he hits the ground into your next attack. Side B is effective also.

Dude, you're playing Meta Knight. You have no right to call any character broken. Meta Knight is really just as bad as Snake. I main them both, I'd know.
Eh, Snake is far worse. MetaKnight actually has weaknesses and can be messed up. Snake is just on another level completely.

snakes recovery @.@
mk cant hit him, while he does it?? Oo

If you see him use his recovery, Shuttleloop him. Outwards - not reverse. You will hit his cypher even if he lets go of it just before you attack and it will prevent your suicide. This is one of many options Meta Knight has to made sure once Snake is off the map, he stays off the map. Down airs are beast because they shove Snake off below the map. Then you can stand on the edge and "throw/grab" is recovery cypher and he will fall to his death (tho most pro Snakes will attempt a c4 recovery). Neutral Air will knock him off the cypher, as well, if you connect it well.

Take it from me it works. My 2on2 partner is a **** good Snake and we play always. I never quit Meta Knight. If you find yourself falling to grenade's all the time, you're not understanding Meta Knight properly, yet. I used to have problems with that all the time but not anymore. All Snake can do is set me up with grenades and try to punish me. That is his entire game. That means the ball is in your court. The biggest problem with MKs are being rushy on Snake. This is one battle you have to slow the hell down. Unless punishment, no downsmash, no forward air, no tornado, no drill (mostly)... etc.

Most of all: Meta Knight has the longest running grab! It's longer than dedede's standing grab! It's easy to grab Snake! Just get good at it! Learn more evasive tricks. Run up to him, shield mid run, roll behind him... react. Did he forward tilt the direction you came from? Dash grab! Hit grab again immediately to get a quick hit in then down throw and then apply pressure!

Good advice.

Also, keep in mind that when snake is holding a grenade, all he can do is throw it or drop it... he cant do much to hurt you other than that. This means you can approach with a grab without much fear of retaliation. Honestly, I love it when snake starts pulling grenades out because it usually means a free grab/throw for me, which i can turn into combos and kos.

HolyForce's move is awesome. B upping forward into Snake on his cipher is good fun. It's great to be able to gimp Snake with something!

Yeah, I totally agree with you guys. I got ripped by this really good snake at the last tourny I went to. Gonna have to try some of that stuff, play it slow and all...think thats what killed me last time kept running into all his **** followed by that deadly U-tilt.

Trust me this is a "start of Brawl's existance" thing. Snake isn't nearly as hard as it seems. In fact, my 2on2 partner mains Snake and I'll ask him to make a video with me shortly showing how we believe you properly play Meta Knight against Snake (and I think most will agree with what I'm doing and pick it up).
