The up throw does the least damage I think. But, I don't think that's the reason why people don't use it. Using something like the down throw can be more useful. Either for tech chasing, or using another attack like the ftilt when the opponent is about to get up. The front or back through can chuck the person pretty far away. The up throw just isn't as efficient as the others. Not enough you can do to rack up damage afterwards. Well...you can rack up damage, but, its harder to do. Its better to use the other throws to get people into more attacks.

I don't think there's anything bad about it, it's more that the other grabs are much more useful. I prefer to use the side grabs because I can do things like throw someone into a mine/C4 or throw them off the edge and mortar edge guard them.

I use the up throw alot. It leads right into a uair. Plus I've been able to chaningrab heavy opponents at very very very low percentages or in other words 0%

I love the Mortar-slide-charge up into up throw. They bounce like a pinball if they hit the plummeting mortar :)

Up-throw is good at low percents IMO, cause you can follow up with an mortar or up-air. At higher %s they bounce too high, so tech chasing the d-throw is usually a better option
