Snake True Techniques and Combos?

I'm a real Snake semi-pro now. I didn't even train a lot with him yet I can beat some friends who have pros level experience. He's amazing. I've researched so hard with Snake. I've looked at combo videos of Snake and tournament matches which he won. I tried and now I want to improve further. Can anyone here show me a vid containing any advanced techniques for Snake that will rack up damage safely or any combos? In fact it doesn't have to be a vid but a worded guide summary telling me what I could do. I've learnt so much about Snake including stripping down the chances opponents have of escaping Snake's next move but I want to elaborate on all this. If so could anyone also brawl me to test my Snake and see what needs tweaking because I know I have yet to improve my Snake much further.

There's also this simple equation that applies to Snake
'Snake + Professional DI = Almost unbeatable Snake'

So can anyone help me regarding the topics I have mentioned above?

Thanks Snake pros

I've looked at them yes. You don't think I research a lot? I spend a lot of time on this forum. Snake does have a lot to research about and I have already

Exactly. I know that these titles only show how committed you are to the forum but I already knew you're a member of a professionals club i.e. The Snake Private Back Room

Good, you have done you're research.

Also, just the quality of (most) of my posts proves my knowledge about Snake and other characters.

Good luck.

Havokk has quite the snake...its weird...but very effective

meh learn your edge guarding, snakes edge game is great but not really true **** I guess, you can force some characters to jump up from the edge if you have placed a mine in the right spot (I think?) and stuff

Learn teh ally combo, throw them into your mine then double jump uair, it actually works ._. well at least at moderately low percents

you need 50 posts for sigs to show up I think, but dont go spamming nowz :p

well I dont think it should matter as long as the throw makes them hit the correct side of the mine, at least thats from personal experience

Oh yeah I forgot about that, the angle of the throw causes them to fly back towards the user leaving room for a 2x jump --> U-Air hmmm i forgot about that, but yeah lets stay on topic and whatnot.

GOD DAYUM 50 POSTS?!?!?!?!? Ugh looks like I better post up around here like I did when I 1st joined NW ._. ppl was pissed..........

You're not camping, you're simply waiting for me to come to you. That's not how Snake works.

The first thing every game basically is SH > C4, and start camping with grenades.

When I approach, you do almost literally nothing.

You tried to grab way to much it was predictable, use more ftilt.

Force my approach, don't let me come to you.

You always C-sticked your Fsmash, if you plan to actually land it, you either need to predict, or charge it and wait for me to airdodge above the ground or something to release it.

You crouched and used dtilt to much, dtilt is horrible. Same with you're use of fair. Horrid moves aren't meant to be used that much.

You started off with laying a mine, thats bad. Don't lay mines until your opponents off stage or dead.

C4 > Mine

Don't let me throw you into your own mines.

Grenade moar.

I was controlling the stage with my stuff, and you're stuff. Don't let that happen to you. In fact, I was in control of the match almost from the start. You'd lay a mine, and I'd SH C4 and camp with 'nades.

Play more, watch my awesomeness less.

Sure. But still that advice needs to go in hand. I need to be able to execute that in brawls

Think more.

Snake isn't Zelda where you are reactive (mostly.. unless you manage to camp with Din's fire), you are the reactor.

You don't wait for your opponent to decide what to do, you put your opponent where you want them.

The big difference between DK and Snake for example:

DK - Has no projectiles - is forced to approach - is entirely REACTIVE. Depending on what his OPPONENT does, he REACTS to PUNISH. IF you try to play an offensive DK and tried placing your opponent into positions, you'd get owned. Reacting to your opponent is the must. You have NO stage control, and you will rarely be in control of a match. The only time you're in control of a match is when your opponents offstage.

Snake - Has Projectiles - FORCES OTHERS TO APPROACH - is almost entirely REACTOR. He PLACES his opponents in BAD positions (dthrow for example), he CONTROLS THE STAGE (limits the opponents options, they don't want to land in explosives!), Snake is ALWAYS in CONTROL of the match due to this.

Perhaps if you were to actually train me for instead of brawling and owning me you could run a step by step level training where you type to me to guide me, maybe through any form of chat?

Keep in mind that Snake is probably one of the hardest characters in this game to use properly. He has a truly unique playstyle that can be VERY effective when properly used, but is almost worthless in the hands of someone who hasn't put in a lot of practice.

Not to mention just how ridiculously easy it is to kill Snake by forcing him off stage. To be a good Snake, you have to know how to stay on stage.

Between all these things, Snake requires AT LEAST a month of serious, dedicated practice against good players to get to tourney proficiency. It will probably take most people more than that. Don't get discouraged away from Snake, he just has a really high learning curve.

Also, congrats on 2000 posts, Havokk <3

Thanks Angel, gratz on the blueeee! (blue is epic)

Also, yah... I forgot to mention learning curvers.

Revolution, if you read this, find our "Secondary" thread. It has a pretty accurate "learning curves" list in the beggining.
