Snake Counter Characters?

So I'm trying to learn a secondary character to fight Snake with. What characters are usually considered counters for him / do well fighting him?

Pika if you can piss off the snake player
rob if you space and camp with the right air game you got it
falco chain grab to spike lol

ROB, DK, and Pikachu.

Falco does fairly well too.

My brother's pit is crazy annoying against my Snake. But, that's just me.

Hmm, I've tried DK before but against a smart snake player that fight is still really tough. Pika's my second best character outside of snake himself, so let me know. What does Pika do that owns in this fight?

And I guess rob wins because he can turtle like a ******* and win?

Pikachu isn't great against Snake, but then again, no one is. Specials spam wrecks his camping, and up close, DSmash and specials are really good. But most of all, thunder absolutely RUINS Snake's recovery. ROB and DK are still better choices against Snake.

Hmm well, if I can camp on snake with projectiles and not risk getting in close vs him AND kill him early with thunder, pika sounds perfect.

Snake can get out of Falco's chain grab...

Funny as it may sound Snake is a great counter to Snake.

DK, R.O.B., Pikachu and Falco are your best bets other than Snake.

DK has a few distinct advantages over Snake, namely our terrible recovery. Whenever I try to recover, they are easily set up for a spike.

Falco? I eat Falcos for breakfast as Snake. But that's just me.

Anyone who can camp, CG, and ledgeguard Snake effectively has the advantage on him. One of the big things is having a technique that reliably stops the Mortar Slide.

Falco, ICs, DDD, Pikachu, and even Wolf have the advantage on Snake.

Falco: Lasers obviously kill Mortar Slide, and force Snake to crouch. Falco also has one of the best CGs, and best meteor smashes in Brawl.

ICs: Ice blocks stop Mortar Slide. CGing and desynching once set up is broken.

DDD: CG nonsense does a lot of damage, and sets up Snake to be hit by a free Smash attack or something once he's off stage.

Pikachu: Don't remember if thunderjolts stop Mortar Slide. D-smash or F-smash probably does though. Then there is the F-throw CG, and Thunder to get around.

Wolf: Doesn't have a CG, but blasters stop Mortar Slide. D-throw sets up Snake to be repeatedly meteored until he dies or until he can be killed by D-smash.

What is the strategy with Donkey kong to face snake?.

DK can stop the Mortar Slide with Down-B. Use tilts to get Snake off of the stage, but not too high. Then you can use your huge meteor Smashes.

Probably goes close to even against Snake. Although I'd say Snake has the advantage there, if just by a little.
