For a long time, I have loved Machinima, every aspect of it. I have been long inspired by Red vs. Blue videos and such. Back then, I always wondered if the same thing could be done with my favorite game. I've searched the internet for a while and found little SSBM machinima series of any sort.....but I then pondered, could I do it myself?

So now, I have started Smashtasm. It's only starting out, now. But I want to make this a big series. I want to make it good for the general public. I want to spread the word. So far, it only has two episodes, but it will continue to expand.

Now, I need your help. Only true fans of SSBM can tell me the truth of it: What it needs, and how they like it. So, please, if you will, go to http://smashtasm.covenantunderground.com/ and see it for yourself.

Just watched the first episode and I find it oddly interesting. I noticed the dialogue was kinda slow paced. It'd be better if it was a bit faster. Reminds me of Sonic games hah. Anyway I'll be sure to stay tuned. Good luck with the rest of them.

That was just the first episode. The second was designed to be faster. You're not the only person the commented on that. Episode 3, I hope to make even faster.....IF the voice actors get their work in......

I thought it's a great idea, and great altogether. But there are no actual fights, that's what I would like to see .

The reason there are practically NO fights is because I'm the only one controlling all characters, so it's really hard to fight myself....I only have two hands....

Why not get a friend over to help you with it? The series will be very limited in terms of quality, originality, and fun-ness, without the help of a friend of two!

.....I don't think very many of my friends have the attention span to machinimate.....and the one that does is busy with his own machinima(s)....if I invited friends over, they'd get really bored and start killing my character....nothing would get done.....

SO! I have to use cool camera angles of different shots of one attack to make it look cool! ^_^....Without a friend over, do you know of anything else I could do to make the fights more interesting?

You could use an AR to record other camera angles. It's really cool, because you can look above and behind while fighting(I don't think you can do that with camera mode). I guess the best thing to do is fight computers. . .

The only problem with fighting computers is how the fighting is sequenced. If the comp knocks me into a part of the stage, I have to make the actors stay at that part of the stage...well....that's not really how I wanted to say it...but I'll just say that it's way too complicated to do unless I make the fights look really crappy and simple like the fight against fox in episode 1......

The other problem is that you can see that "CP" icon....speaking of which, is there an AR code to get rid of those icons?

In fact, can you point me to any AR codes that wil get me new camera angles? That would really help the series.
