Hey guys, I'm trying to get back into smash right now but one thing that always confused me was all the terminology that smashers use Up-Tilt for example (That's one of the few that doesn't confuse me) and things of the like. I was wondering if we could set up a thread where some of these words or phrases were explained so that they are more easily accessible to new players. Thanks a bunch!

i guess i'll explain a few of the more common ones. there's the little jump, which is like when you jump but you don't hold the button. you just press kinda quick and a little jump comes out.

there's also the "el cancel". it's spanish for "the cancel" and it helps speed up combos and stuff.

Edit: seriously though, http://smashboards.com/threads/official-faq-and-qna-thread-ask-your-questions-here.230020/ the first post in this thing i'm linking covers a whole bunch of that stuff and i think it might have links to more. good luck! oh, and this thread too http://smashboards.com/threads/wave...the-terms-read-first-update-12-23-2007.42749/
