The flaw is it'll end up exactly like Deoxys-E, it'll drive away the possible use of any other leads competatively, leading to our realization we made a horrible mistake and made an Uber creation.

You can't make an Ultimate ANYTHING here on SmashCAP, it'll just overrun the tier. The point here is to make something good, but not amazing.

@UltiMario: Well, they made an "Ultimate Scout" for the CAP on Smogon, and it didn't end up being amazing and overcentralizing. I guess it sort of depends on how it turns out, and what "Ultimate" actually is.

Anyways, I thought I might take a spin at this:

Supporting Fanatic

-A Pokemon that can assist another team member well and allows it to do its job well,( i.e. - helping a, let's say Gyrados sweep). It can do this in a variety of ways, from destroying/crippling a roadblock, to allowing something else to survive longer with screens and such. It cannot do much else on its own however.




I thought it might be possibly a good idea?

Muk, well, how about this:

Support-a-Sweep

-A Pokemon that can easily assist another team member sweep by decimating or breaking down the hardest to break walls in the metagame, and crippling the faster revenge-killers, opening up an easier way for something to sweep. It can also be able to set up things like entry hazards to assist a sweeper's sweep.




I'm just brainstorming now, but I thought it would be good to have a supporter that can actually destroy things, unlike many others. Supporters aren't necessarily chained to simply setting up stuff after all.

I didn't mean that, I meant actually destroying things with raw attack power. Besides, I don't see Toxic doing much against Blissey. I guess sort of like an unbroken OU Honchkrow- it wasn't really good and broken because of it's ability to sweep, it was good in UU because it could break walls, and allow a team to sweep.

Concept: Resist Monster
- A Pokemon who through typing, ability, and even attacks can resist a major portion of the metagame, and even have some oomph to hit back too.

Concept: Wonder Guard Abuser
-A (probably physical) sweeper that has Wonderguard, and its HP fixated at either 8, 16, or prefferably 32 so it can suvive turns of "other" damage, yet, will easily die in one hit from something as slight as a Caterpie Tackle, well, if that could hit Super Effective, of course.

Concept: Type Representation

Make a Pokemon with types that are rarely seen in OU and make it viable; all while not overshadowing another Pokemon of the same type. Harder than it seems, but it could be fun.

Final Submission

Ultimate-Lead

This would be a mostly mediocre pokemon under normal circumstances that would thrive in the lead position.

Obviously Stealth Rock would be required and stuff like Rapid Spin, Taunt, Encore, and Explosion could be helpful. This pokemon would probably be very fast but have poor attacking options and a huge array of support options. Basically like a combination of Aerodactyl and anti-lead Smeargle or something like that.
It would be nice if it resisted common types (maybe) and a taunt-immune ability could greatly help it (aerodactyl and the like).

So like, this pokemon gets up Stealth Rock against the majority of common leads and is unpredictable enough that it is likely to cripple something. Obviously this lead wouldn't beat everything though which could create an interesting new lead metagame.

I has 1337 idea. My concept:

Anti-Status Pokemon

Basically, a poke that can use virtually any status to its advantage and counter OU status wielders. We'd probably have to make a new move or two and/or ability to work with this, but it's an interesting idea.
