I don't get why people are really upset by this post not having some cool reveal. I'm sure there will be a whole section of the Nintendo E3 Session that deals with alternate costumes for the characters, new reveals, new stages, and more. It's only five days away, so it makes sense for the company to not have anything too exciting the day before.
I've always liked looking around at the characters that I would recognize in the background of Smashville, so seeing this actually made me happy. Roost is one of my favorite people in the Animal Crossing world, so I am glad he came back. It's good to see some familiar faces sitting in the shop as well.
Anyways, with two Animal Crossing releases in one week, that could mean two things. First, it could mean that something else Animal Crossing is going to be coming into play. Most likely not a character, because it wouldn't work really, but an Assist Trophy or an Item may be inbound for reveal in the near future. Otherwise, the second option is that Sakurai is looking for things he can show that don't give away portions of E3 and Animal Crossing is his safest option here. Either way, I'm not trying to think too much on it and just relaxing here with my hot coffee.
