I have not seen any talk about this so I decided to make a topic.

I know the patch notes just give the usual "improvements to game stability" and what not, but has anyone noticed anything specifically different? I'm really curious.

It's worth noting that the patch was only for the Wii U version, and as far as I can tell, it hasn't effected characters in any way (my friend and I even tried Pac-Man glitches and no difference there).

So how 'bout, has anything been found to be different in this patch, however small? Bug fixes? Increased equipment inventory? Something relating to single-player modes?

Not very sure... wasn't just for preparation for the upcoming tournament mode?

Down on the corner, out in the street.
And do we know what that file represents in the game, and what was changed about it?

Hm, strange. Wonder if it had anything to do with the game's boot-up process? Maybe they improved the load time upon launching the game? (Smash Wii U always had an unusually long boot up time on the Wii U menu).

So is the 3DS version, when you got the latest update, the loading Smash logo doesn't appear anymore.

There was a thread about this already. It was locked because it was determined that the patch didn't change anything, besides "performance improvement."

It may just be some minor bug fixes.

I was kinda wondering what that "performance improvement" was though and if anyone had noticed anything particularly different.

At first I thought it maybe improved the online play a bit, but after testing that I don't think that's the case anyway.

Performance improvements could mean a variety of things though, and I was just curious to see exactly what.

I wonder if there were any elements in the game that caused slowdown, and now they don't anymore?

Doesn't seem to be the case though, from what TBrush posted on his Twitter.

The only different thing that I noticed is that I can still access my replays.

I do not have a way to test it but it seems to be that the time for disconection due to idling have been reduced. Comes faster.

I was noticing the boot-up and other wait times went down. It was likely a fix for the performance issues we started getting since the Mewtwo update was bogging down the game's ability to load stuff outside of matches.

There was a thread, but pretty much the conclusion was nothing noteworthy to talk about and it got locked.
