This commercial is a good commercial in my opinion, as many people who aren't all caught up in smash news might be convinced to buy it when they hear about 8 players.

Why couldn't they use that same filter on the announcer's lines in the games? It would have been so much better.

But I'm glad they kind of strayed away from the cringe-worthy acting we usually get in commercials like these and focused mainly on gameplay.

That's it, if Nintendo decides to run any more in-house Smash tournaments, or decide to have an official presence at EVO or APEX next year, they NEED to have Xander on commentary. His voice is the embodiment of energy and hype, he's perfect for the job. Get him on the mic next to someone like D1, and it would be magical :D

This commercial is actually pretty good. It shows a realistic situation with their realistic target audience, and brings the hype without going overboard and actually shows off the game. Good job, Nintendo. I think we've got a winner here.

And i am in lorve with the "settle it in smash" tagline as well

It would be more hype if they just got some actual players showing off 8 person smash, some actual tourney announcers, and an actual crowd of fans and just got the footage from that.

I'd unironically love if a commercial was just this but with some post editing. 406
