'Smash Scenes' Documentary Covers the Hawaiian Community in its Pilot Episode

'Smash Scenes', an episodic documentary series by the GosuJasu team, has just released its first episode: 'Hawaii'.

'Hawaii' covers the entirety of its namesake's oft-underexposed community. Mostly known for formerly being home to top player James "CLG | VoiD" Makekau-Tyson, Hawaii lacks the coverage that other communities get. Despite this, episode director Jason Russak believes that Hawaii has a story of its own to tell.

"The Hawaiian Smash Wii U scene is interesting because they are secluded on an island, making it harder for them to play with those on the mainland," said Russak. Distance dynamics have played a hindering role in the development of the scene but according to Russak, they've found ways to grow.

The team aims to publish their episodes weekly. Following 'Hawaii', episodes are set to release focusing on scenes such as the Korean Melee and Houston Smash Wii U communities.

Was very nice! Very much enjoyed it!

Feel like the audio could've been a bit better during some interview segments though. Sometimes the background noise was loud enough be be slightly hard to hear what the interviewee was saying

Yeah unfortunately there were audio issues we have to work through. But after every episode I learn more about how to fix the process and improve the overall product.
