Smash Ladder works now. Wifi Wars doesn't. So there's not really much to go by.

- staffed by top names in Smash
- prizes

SmashLadder
- staffed by the creators of ShoddyBattle

I actually do think WiFi Wars is going to be the better pick here in the end due to the staff names. People in Smash do recognize M3D, Scav, Omnigamer etc. more than Colin and Amazing Ampharos who are more profilic in Pokemon. Also, the fact that WiFi Wars has prizes is going to be a big factor.

They use the Glicko2, am I right? Smash Brawl Rankings will be using something similar, Glicko is a common system. We also feature reliability ratings, more users, and live chat. We have tons of additional features planned and you can read about some of these by reading through the Suggestions board in our forum.
