Morgana is third member of the Phantom Thieves Of Hearts, a group of thieves who steal the embodiments of desires, known as treasures, to make the world a better place. He acts as the Phantom Thieves' guide to the Metaverse, and as a quick and agile team member. His Persona is Zorro, a skilled swordsman and outlaw.

Morgana has his Persona, a cutlass, and a slingshot to attack foes with, giving him a unique moveset if he were to make it into the roster. Her are some movesets that Smashboards users have made!

Sakurai shown that he likes the character.
Morgana has the potential to use the Persona mechanic in Smash Bros. in a new and unique way, with his quick and lightweight attributes.

The Fighter's Pass already has a Persona 5 rep in the form of Joker.
Morgana is already in the Everyone Is Here! banner. Having a second Morgana would be weird.

Sakurai has shown a sketch he made for a Morgana copy ability. The hat would most likely look like it.

Also, Morgana is actually only gonna be playable at night time, when Joker is sleeping. The Nintendo Switch’s internal clock can do this cool stuff, ya know. /s
