Smash Chateau - Lincoln, Nebraska's Premier Smash Weekly

Since we're getting some huge momentum, I decided to make a Smashboards thread. I'll answer any questions about the weekly here. Here's the main scoop:

Who?
All levels of Smash players (currently Melee and Project M players).

What?
Come play Smash in a free weekly for bragging rights ( and potentially sponsorships ). We run both Melee and Project M.

When?
Every Friday (usually) starting between 7-8pm CST

Where?
We will be at University of Nebraska - Lincoln in Kauffman Academic Residential Center. The room is 112 (a large classroom).

Why?
We have a ton of fun and we love Smash. You'll meet some fantastic people and get better at the game. Also, we stream this in true 480p at 60 fps (on Twitch via Camtendo), something many major Smash streams fail to do.

We have PM players bro and we have alot of players who came into the scene via PM and I came outta retirement because of PM you just have to know how to look. Once smash 4 drops that's gonna be a different story.

Okay, Guys, it's tournament season if you haven't noticed.

It seems there's a tournament every weekend from now until the 18th of October pretty much within driving range, it's a crescendo to Roll Tier X4 with the cherry on top being IT HAS BEGUN!!!!

We need to get more hype, and bring the hype and all of that. And you guys need to do it FOR ME. Literally!

If you're going to Roll Tier X4 or IT HAS BEGUN, please say so on the facebook and smashboard threads to gather more interest by saying you are going on both of the pages. Start talking on those threads and check them often. The threads have just been updated.

If you would like to promote it on other media (I plan on doing tourney locator, Melee it on me and AIB tomorrow) please do so or suggest a forum for me to use.

(Major Announcements regarding $1100 pot bonus tournament)

First Off, Roll Tier X4 is THIS SATURDAY. You no longer must pre-register to sign up (Yes, you may now register at the door!!!!!!!!!!!), but the fun starts on Friday with our set up party ran by the Velvet Room, bringing the Smash Chateau to Bellevue.

Friday starting at 7 (possibly earlier) with casuals, money matches on stream and maybe some competition as well. Please bring your TV and Set ups on Friday!

Also Friday is your last chance to be guaranteed a spot in our free single elim. Sm4sh tournament with $70 to 1st and $30 to 2nd. Registration for all events will be open Friday Night as well.

If you are coming from out of state and you haven't pre-registered please let me know asap, or please call me if you are running late, we are going to follow our schedule as much as possible!

If you are local and you can house, please let me know asap.

Also, if you aren't local and need housing, please let me know asap.

Currently we are planning on having people from North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Georgia, "Wherever the hell M2K damn well pleases", with possible people from Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado gracing us in Nebraska, making this possibly the largest gathering of midwest west players in the history of mankind.

IT HAS BEGUN!!!!! This Saturday, October 18th in Bellevue, NE.

At the same great, spacious venue as Roll Tier X4, 70MGame, featuring the RTx4 staff and free pizza from Little Caesars. Last weekend we had 100+ for RTx4, let's keep it coming for Nebraska's first open Sm4sh tournaments, along with 64/Brawl singles and doubles.

With over 140 people registered for the great Revival this weekend in WI, things are looking great for the MW so far and we expect things to be just as crazy up in MN with the Warehouse Throwdown 3.1415!!!

The 2nd leg of the circuit is in S. St. Cloud, MN on March 14th 2015. Registration will end March 6th at 11:59 pm (DIFFERENT THAN POSTED AS OF THIS POST), and the venue fee will increase by $5 on Feb 21st.

So, Smash Chateau ownership has changed. It will probably still happen starting again in late August, but I can't say for certain. You should join the Nebraska Smash FB group for more information. Smashboards isn't used as frequently as it was in like 2009.

Are there any other competitive smash scenes in nebraska?

There are concentrations in Omaha, Lincoln, Columbus, and Norfolk with weekly tournament frequency in all but Lincoln right now. The three most played Smash games in NE are Melee, Smash 4, and Project M.

it kinda is, Licnoln has White Picket Fence which is melee/pm weeklies now, chatau no longer exists.

Omaha has portal weeklies that run PM/Melee/Sm4sh singles and doubles running on a game rotation, one week is pm, next melee, next sm4sh.

Omaha also has weeklies on tuesday at UG gaming.

Lincoln also has weeklies on thursday, but I recommend you join up on the NE facebook page.

Oh also Roll Tier 6 is Nov 14th and has all 5 smash games, just singles for brawl/64 but the other 3 have dubs.

Sadly no. They do smash stuff occasionally in Lincoln, but I'm not sure on the details there. Most stuff just happens in Omaha on Wed, Fri, and most Saturdays.
