Smash Wii U Smash Bros Wii U Midnight release events

It is too early to know if stores are having midnight releases, but i want to know if you will be attending one in your area once they are announced! I am excited to attend one, but I know I will be getting the game, the gc adapter, and an amibo, so my wallet wont like it.

Im gonna get the actual game at midnight, then when gamestop opens I'm getting the adapter, because I already have 4 GCN controllers.

What do you mean it's too early to know if anyone's doing midnights? The GameStop in a town over from where I live always knows if it'll be doing a midnighter wayyyyyyyy ahead of time and they confirmed they will be doing one for Smash 4. They did one for Smash 3DS and they did one for Pokemon X/Y last year, as well as several others.

You can try calling your local stores and asking if they'll be selling Smash at midnight. From my experience, Gamestops tend to be the most common store open at midnight. 24/7 Walmarts like that one near where I live are also another option but be careful, they lied to me and said they'd be selling Smash3DS at midnight and they weren't when I went there.

Might want to ask for the name if you talk to someone just in case you go somewhere to get the game at midnight and they're like," What? nah man we don't have that game yet." <---This happened to me when I went to Walmart...they're a bunch of boneheads.

Well it's Wal-Mart, they don't pay very close attention to game releases like GameStop does, since GameStop makes more revenue off games. Being, well, a game store and all. :3

I'm not sure if mine will be doing this since its inside of a mall and they wouldn't open the mall doors at midnight just for a game release.

My preorder is at a Best Buy, so I doubt they'd have midnight release. Then again even if they did I'd wait till day time anyway. Don't really see the point of going at such a late (or early if you wanna be technical) hour to get a game when you'll only play it for an hour or so before going to bed. That's just me though.

i preordered at bestbuy too. i plan to take off work the next day so lol if that pans out, the midnight release is worth it : )

I plan to if my Gamestop is doing a midnight release. Mostly though because I have the bundle preordered and I've heard horror stories of stores accidentally selling preorders. Which is scary because I work from 9-5 and they open at 10. I'm actually sure it will be fine, but paranoia.

The GameStop location in Governors Square Mall, Tallahassee, FL is hosting a midnight release. I reserved my copy last night and they let me know there will be some GameStop Goodies for those preordering and picking up at midnight. Been a while since I've been to a midnight release, but no other game that's come out recently registers on my "lose sleep for this" radar.
