i specifically called before i went and asked how many people melee had and was told it was 20. i show up and there's no one else.

I can assure you that people who would have went to this one were tired and too lazy to go. The same exact thing will happen to Rina-Chan's farewell tournament

Exactly! We had no other option really. We were gonna have it on the 26th, but people preferred the 19th, so we gave them what they wanted and those who wanted it, at least some of them, didn't show. So thats out of our hands, we couldnt force them to come, but I wish they wouldve at least called us and let us know whether or not they were gonna show. I know Jonny, Isai, Ross and Superboom gave us heads-up the night before so that was cool. And we had no time to do it in August cause I'll be in MN and the others will be off to their destination as well. So really, this was a last second tournament and within less than a month of getting all this stuff together Im very pleased people were able to make it even if we didnt get the full 32 spots filled.

Sorry I couldn't make this! I play Melee exclusively and there was a tournament right before this one. If this was the only melee tournament that weekend I would definitely have made the trip. good luck on any future iterations!

i was planning to go but isai and superboom didnt go. i was still prolly gonna go but then johnny wasnt going to go either so i didnt go. NEXT one should be fun

Its all good everyone...

We will have another one, and we will let everyone know more in advance so people can save the date.

It will be a lot better planned. and we will be setting up 64 + melee with equal concentration.
We sincerely apologize to the people who showed up for melee. It will be improved, even if we have to shell out a couple more hundred bones.

you gotta admit.. aside from this last attendence, our venue has a pretty bad @&& set up
