AS WE ARE AIMING FOR OUR BIGGEST TOURNY YET

Anyways heres the deal...

We are looking to fill a 32 spot tournament. We currently have 15 sign in (most of which are players from our last 2 tournament)

LOCATION:
Where: Bellermine Jefferson - 465 East Olive Avenue, Burbank, Ca, 91501 (Same place last time)
DATE: Sunday, July 19 2009
People can arrive as early as 11AM
TOURNAMENT STARTS: when all contestants arrive (absolute latest 1:00PM
First Doubles - Then Singles

TOURNAMENT RULES

DOUBLES:
- Will start before singles
- 2v2 double elimination
- As far as game play - singles rules apply
- Team Attack On

SINGLES:
•Double Elimination
•All matches are best of 3, with finals best of 5.
•5 stock, No Time limit
However excessive STALLING is NOT allowed! If caught doing so, you will be asked to stopped with a warning. If you continue to do so, you will forfeit the match.
•Items OFF

STAGE OPTIONS:
•Stages available: Peach's Castle, Hyrule Temple, Dreamland and Congo Jungle.
•Counter Stages are: Saffron City
•However, if both players agree to play on ANY OTHER stage, or RANDOM they may do so.

•First round stage is random unless players can agree upon a stage
•Advanced Slob Picks - Loser may choose the next stage among the available and counter stages or random, then winner may choose to change characters, then loser may change characters
•Double Blind may be called in the first match

BONUS INFO:
•Granteed that Semi-final match and on, will be recorded + random games of others
•There will be 4 stations and one for warming up
•All four main TVs are input lag free.
•FINALS wil NOT be PLAYED on a projector this time. But we are going to split the video input so that the players can play on a tv and the viewer can see the game on the projector.

ALSO: We are still trying to fit in a little Melee tournament here too, but the thing is we do not have enough Melee games. We do have Wii's and Gamecubes so if anyone wants to PM us about bringing your Melee games, let us know and maybe we can work out something.

We have everything set up for the 64 section..
pretty much same set up as last time, but a bit better. (except for the projection)
we will just need setups for the Melee portion.


BTW
If people need a place to crash out for a night or so.. please register early so we can save you a room.

hey yea.. sorry for the late response..
but there will be a entrance fee for the venue cause we are renting it out of our own pockets.
but it will be pretty big and food and drinks will be provided


For both SSB64 + SSBMelee

Singles: $10
Doubles: $10 each player ($20 per team)
Venue fee: $5

So in that case, the Melee portion of the tourney sucked. We were quite skeptical of having Melee as a side tourney in the first place cause we usually main with 64. Otherwise the tourney was great. And its not like you had a very far drive out here being that you live in Burbank. BTW how many tourneys have you hosted so far?
