In germany the 3rd October is a holiday day.
So Nintendo has decided to release the game on October 2nd.

That's what happened with X & Y too, every store here in northern Europe broke the street date by one day because it otherwise would have released on a saturday. Seems like they're just going with it this time.

Depending on your time zone, you can download it from the eShop and you can get it October 2nd in the US as well.

I'm sure the place will liven up a bit on the game's release in Japan, and then again when it releases everywhere else. Afterall, it's all we're going to have, for a while at least.
