You'd be best off finding tourneys with Melee or Brawl and lug a 64 and TV along as a side-event. That's the unfortunate truth, you don't see dedicated tournies for 64 often.
Alternatively, ask in the Smash 64 forum social thread if anyone wants to have casual meetups.

If it cheers you up any, most melee and brawl players like smash 64 and enjoy such side events. I think it largely comes down to that you can't be good at all the games all the time y'know?
