i've been playing brawl lately.. i almost said i'll ditch ssb64 for brawl..
then there was another time i'll ditch ssb64 for melee..

but man, brawl is boring. even though i'm good or whatever i felt like i wasn't gonna get better than that... or getting better i also thought of the community in 64. i was leaving the community online play los the clan :D im like fuuck that. so i guess i'll just play brawl casually now.. i can't play both. it affects my gameplay in 64.

smash 64 feels like the only game i am pro at..

melee meh..

brawl i am good but idk...

Melee :ohwell:

Brawl :urg:

64: :bee: ;) :)

And now my punishment is BEING RUSTY IN 64 cause i played brawl half of the day..

This is the same dilemma everyone seems to be having... Do I want to play a popular game, or a quality game?

Despite only having gotten into smash64 maybe 5 months ago, and played Brawl even less than that, I really don't feel like playing much Brawl anymore, and instead have the urge to play and practice 64 more than ever. I'm even picking up Melee now because it looks and feels like tons of fun (and I got a Gamecube for cheap).

playing brawl with another smash = instant skill decrease =(
playing melee with 64 = skill increase =)

I hate it when people (IE friends of mine, and surely people you know too) tell me they prefer Brawl because it's not so technical or hard to learn etc... I understand people want a chance to win more often versus more "serious" smashers, but I just don't get winning for the sake of winning. I want a game that will highly reward me for the time I put in. Winning, not winning, almost irrelevant. Improvement is what matters. Winning is just a measure of that and if I lose, it just means I have more to work on. That's the fun part of these games anyway - building your skill. Every amazing thing you pull off in a match, the first time, it's utterly rewarding.

In Brawl, the problem is that even if you technically pull off something amazing in that game, it doesn't feel rewarding, because you never really worked for it. And now I finally have to change my sig, because I've made enough posts like this and can't continue to have a Brawl sig. haha

now that brings back memories

Melee helped my hands become what they are now in smash 64. I can't imagine I would be able to DJC this quickly without playing melee.
