Hello, I can't find any information detain what the when the smash 64 scene originated, mainly in South American countries such as Peru and Chile. Also which players were the best back in the early eras of smash 64 who aren't named Isai or Boomfan. If anyone knows the answers to these questions that would be extremely helpful.

this article should help https://www.escapistmagazine.com/v2/inside-the-secret-world-of-competitive-smash-64/

I know the competitive ssb64 scene in north america didnt really start until 2003 when project64k emulator came out and online smash. One of the best online players at that time was named chaos. He was the best until isai came online and beat him. A player named Johnny was considered 2nd best in North America after isai for a long time until boomfan overtook him and Johnny became less active.

Top player in peru for a long time was Alancitu who many believed was as good as isai based on videos. The top players in chile were Alpha and DannySSB, Alpha mained kirby and Danny mained mario. Top players in NA who p2p DannySSB used to say his mario was the best they ever played besides Isai's.
