I wonder what they're like

They're basically just shmups. But with 10 times the craziness. The enemy attacks usually leave you very few space to move, which is immediately noticeable. But there's also the notable animu girl characterization of everything, which you know a bit of already it seems
There's also other crazy stuff stopping time temporarily in-game and enemies teleporting constantly.

Ok, so i learned quite promising news for Paper Mario games + dolphin.

Here's the story, I filed months ago a bug report on Dolphin because I couldn't change the stepping distance of free look (which btw, I LOVE this feature). This got fixed, but to my surprise, TTYD had graphical glitches on the newer version so, filed a bug report, but after heavy research, I found that they actually changed the way a graphical feature works so it requires OpenGL 4.3 support and that feature is normally negligible.....except in the Paper Mario games. Spm will actually crash on the intro and both TTYD and SPM will have really weird graphical glitches.

Now, my GPU actually can have OGL4.3, the problem is the drivers.

There's no proprietary drivers available on Linux, so I must use the open source alternative which is only supporting OGL3.3 and I learned that the next release in early June is not going to bring 4.3 support

But the one 3 months after should and the good news is the extension I need to make dolphin works has been labelled "in progress" some hours ago.

So, I hope it will end on time, but it might means I can have every feature of the newer Dolphin and have no problem in 3 months. Currently, I'm using an older version which works, but I still have my free look bug
