Gen 4 had a lot of things that kept my interest for some reason

It's normally because the game has to be localized for different languages before being released in Europe, and since we're a part of the EU, it still affects us too despite being English-speakers.

For some reason, we don't have it that bad nowadays for game releases. For instance, Pokemon ORAS was only released a week later in UK than everywhere else.

We even managed to get some games earlier than America, like Xenoblade Chronicles 3DS Yoshi's Woolly World.
