I can't really stomach it much.

I saw some of those videos, the injuries caused by those things will leave the eyeball premanently screwed up, specially because they're more invasive than an actual eye surgery.

Eyelids, i can understand (some of those are cool imo), but id rather not sacrifice one of my five sense just for flare.

I hear the other alternative for eye tattoos is selling your soul to a demon for supernatural powers. I'm pretty sure one of those comes with an evil eye tattoo. If you just get evil eyes though, then you know you got conned.
