So, if you wondering why I was really not active today (I actually even got a reply in the paper mario thread and I didn't had the time to treat it), it's because I spent the entire day to rip Sticker Star.

and......

I RIPPED EVERY TEXTURES!!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Btw, some sprites are available on vg resources, but really.....most of them are not. his is why I wanted to rip the game stuff and just check them. Also, I wanted to check for unused stuff because no matter if you like the game or not, it's always interesting

now, I am going to say that it was by far the msot complicated rip I ever done.

Going to spoiler now because it is long to explain, but if you want to see the pain I had to do to rip them......well read

First, you can get a decryted file system online. This is not usual, but luckily, it was available

However, most of the meaningful files are compressed. I had to search very deeply online to find a decompressor as this type of compression was weird. it was like compressed.......backwards......go figure.

Now, I had a program that took me hours to realise that it's jsut not accurate for ripping textures. It could rip and export models, but really inaccurate. lots of files refused to open.....I lost like half a day to figure it out.

But I found another program that only rips textures (so, no models) and it worked. Really, I got a lot of files ripped with some annoyance with figuring out how to work with cmd.....I actually was doing stuff on a windows vm to be sure the rip worked.

But the most complicated part was these ****** .bin files. To have something that might contain textures, it needs to have the header CGFX in the file (you use hexedit). The problem with these bin files is they contain an array of them. They are just attacked eachother and you know this because there's lots of CGFX header. Now, using the decompressor......was partially working because of this. It only decompressed ONE part of the files....not the entire file.

The solution after testing was the pretty much split the big file into smaller CGFX file then put them on the decompressor for me to rip the textures after.

But there was one file with like around 500 of them.....doing it manually was not an option (I might love Paper Mario, but you are insane if you did that).

So, I had to search a program and.....THANK YOU GOOGLE!!!!

I want to give my special thanks to the free program called Gsplit, really, I love it

I could split all the CGFX in minutes all in an organised manner (the program had really neat filenames options).

And it worked!

These were the last textures files, I ripped everything

So.....guess what I found in those bin files?

EVERY SINGLE STICKERS OF THE GAMES!

Don't find it surprising no one ripped these, they were a pain to rip.....

So, now I'm happy

Tomorrow, I will start to do spritesheet to vg ressources and eventually submit them

Dream Team is not the best to begin with. The first or Bowser Inside Story are better to begin the series. PIT is pretty difficult in the USA version and short compared to all other M&L but it's a good game.
