Uh so something interesting happened last night/this morning and I need the intellects here at smashboards to help me decipher what it could mean (also I need a place to vent where nobody knows who I am personally--so no tumblr):

So this guy who I was kind of friends with but not really from high school messaged me on OKCupid last night. Just some minor backstory: I graduated high school five years ago (oh my god its been five years? ;_ and this guy was a year younger than me. I had like a minor crush on him but nothing really major. He deleted me as a friend on FB after I graduated high school too. Why? I don't know. My theory is that he suspected that I liked him, and he wanted to get away. But with him messaging me (not the other way around), it kind of confuses me.

So anyway he messages me and he kind of starts humble bragging a bit about how he went to central america for school and how amazingly awesome his life is and what not, and I'm just the good listener and praise him and I talk a bit about myself and we're just generally having small talk. We catch up a bit and I end up asking why he messaged me and that was the last message that was sent. He hasn't replied back since like 7am but he hasn't been online since 9am so whatever. GREAT WAY TO LEAVE THE CONVERSATION MAN. And he read it too, which is a bigger wtf? Also he expanded his profile while we were talking, which implies to me that he was still looking for someone. Because if he was like "Okay, I found him." I don't think he would have gone through the trouble of expanding his profile.

What should I even make of this? *I* personally don't really know or care about my feelings toward him...like if he likes me cool, if he doesn't then I'm cool. I've honestly been through this **** numerous times to learn to stop really caring about the end game, but I over analyze and look too deep into it. He could just be making friendly conversation, or there could be more going on. But why message me on OKC, a dating site? Why not refriend me on FB and talk to me there, where it could be more acceptable and I could just be like oh he just wants to say hi?

I hate my overanalyzing mind
