• Ridley was the obvious choice for a Metroid character; people said no more to ZSS.
• Straw grasping, man. I don't need to do this.
• It's April 8, 2014; the day the Smash Direct was aired. A shadow came out of nowhere on Pyrosphere flying above Pikachu.
• Straw grasping, round 2: The Revenge
• ESRB leak blah blah blah
• Wii U Direct came. Stage hazard. Dreams gone.

That reminds me about back then. When Ridley was deconfirmed, @ FalKoopa showed a before/after picture of a person who went from saying that Sakurai is a good and respectable man before the stream and after it he gets salty and basically calls him out.

With both versions released, this "kind" of speculation seems better on paper, but in practice it's the exact same thing as pre-release speculation.
The Character Discussion Thread is the definition of straw grasping. Why do people take speculation so seriously. Like, I get that debating for characters is good and and all, but....
