Get rid of the teeth and give him back his boots and I'd totally be cool with his design.I would be totally on board with his decision. The newest incarnation is from a spin-off franchise. Besides that, that version attempts to humanize him by giving him coloured irises, teeth, and update his boots to sneakers.
It makes him look creepy... and his sneakers clip through the ground.

I like this design, but I feel his smash design is much better. He doesn't need an eye color.
