I love the retro callbacks the SSB4 third party newcomers have... this is what I want to see from third party characters... for them to pay homage to their histories with Nintendo.

SSB5 needs to have Simon Belmont based on his NES/SNES designs and Banjo-Kazooie based on their N64 designs.

I dunno where this information that SMB3 originated from The Wizard came from. I recall arcade cabinets with SMB3 before The Wizard actually came out, and Wikipedia doesn't even have a proper citation for this claim.

Super Mario bros. 3 was revealed at the Nintendo world championship. The Wizard was a movie about the Nintendo world championship that came out well after the actual championship had ended. So SMB3 wasn't first shown in the wizard, but it was first shown at the Nintendo World championship.

They are. Play-Asia allows you buy eShop cards by region. Because of taxes, I have to pay like 20% more on average, I buy stuff kind of rarely.

There've been tons of theories going around that they will reveal something big towards the end of it. The whole thing seems to be set up like a huge PR stunt and the Mario 30th Anniversary site has at least 2 spaces open for more games to be displayed, spaces down the the pixel.

If it's Galaxy 3 or Sunshine 2, I'm sure I'll warm up to it. But I think everyone's expecting those two, so Nintendo probably would pull an unexpected Mario platformer so it doesn't wane hype from prediction bias. A true Super Mario Bros. 4 anyone?
