Link isn't THAT established of a character. Having a female counterpart to Link wouldn't be much different than Robin, Kamui, or the Villager.
Not to mention, Link is supposed to be a character that the player can identify with. Having a female counterpart to him would make that a lot easier. It's not to satisfy some fetish.
And also, Linkle isn't a female Link anyway. It's supposed to be his sister.

As for Samus, she's much more an established character than Link. Samus has a long backstory and a set personality and appearance.

Characters can have feminine counterparts or lookalikes that are not fetish material, it's just a character that's similar, but a girl. All the characters you mentioned are customizable avatars since the games they debuted. Link though lacking personality and can be named, has an already stablished image and has been around for almost 30 years.

Not to mention the concept behind her sounds like bad fanfiction, heck, there are people that regard HW like fanfiction already due to the original characters (specially Lana).

The only way I can accept Linkette is if she and Link are separate characters, make them twins if you want, but as long they're not the same character is fine.
